From the moment I saw the new macOS Sonoma Wallpaper I knew I wanted it as my desktop wallpaper ASAP. I wasn’t willing to wait a few months until the official release of macOS Sonoma.
macOS Sonoma, also known as macOS 14, was unveiled at WWDC 2023 with fresh features tailored for Mac users. Alongside enhancements to iMessage and FaceTime, the operating system introduces profiles for Safari, web apps, and a new Game Mode.
Once again, Apple has selected a California location as the namesake for the latest macOS version. Sonoma, a historic town in Northern California renowned for its winemaking, serves as the inspiration for macOS Sonoma’s new wallpaper, which captures the landscapes of Sonoma.
The new wallpaper is offered in light and dark versions, incorporating shades of blue, purple, and green.
You can download the new wallpaper in its full resolution below. Unlike other websites, I have included the dynamic wallpaper. By selecting this wallpaper as your preferred option, it will automatically adjust to match your system’s light or dark mode settings.
Remember to click on the image and save the wallpaper in full resolution. Then, set it as your background image through the Photos app or Settings app if you’re using an iOS device.
